03-03-08 - Fred says take a look at the BLBS Scotland 2008 shoot programme. You need to be a member of the British Longbow Society to shoot in these competitions. For more information speak to Fred.

The clubs/club members involved in running some of these shoots have been very good at making the long journey down to take part in our shoots, so it would be great to be able to take part and support their shoots as well. If there is enough interest we could organise some car sharing or maybe even a minibus depending on numbers.
02-03-08 - The events section has been updated with details for the coming year.

Also, all club membership money should have been paid by the end of January and NFAS fees are due before the end of March. If you owe money can you please pay is ASAP. Thanks.
06-02-08 - The club AGM is taking place on Tuesday 19th February at Darlington Memorial Hospital Social Club, Hollyhurst Road, Darlington, DL3 6HX. starting at 7.30pm. First drink and Pizza provided by AOTT!

Congratulations to Tom Parker who won the club wand trophy on Friday. Well done!
28-01-08 - We will be shooting for a Silver arrow on Friday 1st February.
19-12-07 - The school is now closed for the Christmas holidays. Archery will resume on Friday 11th January.
03-12-07 - Added a gallery for the Club Captaincy Shoot to the events page.
11-11-07 - Club Captaincy Shoot - This will be taking place on Friday 23rd November. Probably in the small hall.
13-10-07 - A couple of news updates:-
  • Archery is cancelled until Friday 2nd November.
  • There appears to have been a typo on the competition entry form. It should have read Friday 4th November 2007.
  • Due to the postage strike can people contact Fred to confirm their competition entry form has reached him. His phone number is on the information page.
  • We are unable to take on any more beginners until the spring. This is due to lack of space as we will be in the small hall.
27-07-07 - Created a page for the Wand World Championships 2007. There's a write-up by Fred, some photographs and some newspaper articles. To view the page click here or look in the events section.
05-06-07 - Uploaded version 1 of the new website. It will hopefully improve a lot, but at least if I put something up it may stop Dave complaining. :)
19-05-07 - Updated events page.
24-04-07 - From Friday (27th) we will be shooting outside. To make the most of the light we will start earlier, from about 6.30pm. Due to building work we will probably be using the field at the rear of the school.

The club is hosting a "Have-a-Go" at Raby Castle on May 13th, volunteers required.

The second Wand World Championships is scheduled to take place on the 8th of July at Raby Castle, more information to follow.
